As part of the beta testing program, X-Rite met with Asda to understand how its brand team and print vendors have used ColorCert ScoreCard Server. The team discussed what was working and opportunities for improvement. Asda has expressed interest in further customizing color data by industry, substrate and supplier to meet their exact reporting requirements.
“When X-Rite gave us a demo of the new ColorCert ScoreCard server and showed us all the new features and functionality, it matched our initial requests and feedback,” says Jason Gilmartin, senior print manager at Asda. “We entered testing from a strong position, with our user group seeing some of the key gear changes immediately.”
“Over the past few months we have been using the latest version of ColorCert Scorecard Server and are fully migrated. This type of change can be quite concerning, but given the due diligence that has gone into it, I am confident in this decision. I look forward to using this release to bolster our print quality control program,” continued Gilmartin.
“Collaborating with Asda has allowed us to build the most advanced and integrated cloud platform for brands, premedia and print production managers,” adds Jason Campbell, ColorCert Product Manager, X- Rite. “With advanced reporting and analytics, brands and print providers can explore specific jobs, compare color quality between print and packaging component runs, and discover trends over time. This helps customers quickly identify color issues, optimize production processes and improve color quality scores.
Part of the ColorCert suite, ScoreCard Server provides an overview of print quality and color performance in a single, relevant and easy-to-understand numerical score. Built from the ground up using a modern, secure and flexible architecture, ColorCert ScoreCard Server offers a new interface that allows converters to set up dashboards and create custom quality reports suitable for their daily print production.
ColorCert ScoreCard Server is an open software ecosystem that supports today’s digital packaging workflows. It integrates with X-Rite Color iQC, IntelliTrax2 Pro, eXact Auto-Scan Pro, PantoneLIVE, XRGA-based newsroom spectrophotometers, AVT SpectraLab, Esko Color Trace, and qualified third-party quality control software.
