Spring 2022 Artist-in-Residence, Ghazal Ghazi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tulsa, born in Tehran, Iran. In her solo exhibition, she presents works that address the themes of heritage and family histories. Manifested in painting and ceramics, these works continue her Monumental Miniatures series where she investigates collective memory and cultural intervention. The paintings in this body of work shed light on contemporary issues facing Iranian-American and SWANA (South West Asian North African) and Muslim communities, in the context of diaspora, migration, violence of State and transgenerational transmission of culture.

The Ghazi exhibition Forms of relationship is presented from April 29 to May 21, 2022. The gallery’s opening hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, donations are welcome.
