WASHINGTON – The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has officially opened online registration for the NAHB 2022 International Builders Show (IBS), the world’s largest annual lightweight construction trade fair.
IBS will be held in person at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, February 8-10, where it will again be co-located with the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) ( NKBA) for design. & Construction Week (DCW). The two shows are expected to host more than 1,000 exhibiting brands covering more than 800,000 net square feet of exhibition space, for the largest annual gathering of the home design and construction industry.
“We look forward to welcoming our attendees to Orlando for the premier housing industry event,” said NAHB President Chuck Fowke, a custom builder from Tampa, Florida. “This show offers all the best products, connections and training opportunities in one place. IBS 2022 gives attendees a prime spot for the latest trends, business solutions and industry connections and is an event you won’t want to miss.
Participants with an All-Access Pass subscription will have access to over 110 training sessions led by renowned experts on a wide range of industry topics. For a deeper dive into specific industry topics, attendees can participate in pre-show masterclasses, 3-hour in-depth intensive programs held on February 7, the day before the show officially kicks off. These workshops are part of pre-show training and will be open to all registered participants at an additional cost.
IBS attendees will have the opportunity to experience new exhibition destinations, including the New Product Zone, showcasing the latest products and cutting edge market solutions; the Home Tech Zone, which features high-demand technology products and interactive demonstrations; and innovative emerging solutions in the start-up area of IBS. Participant favorites, the High Performance Building Zone, the IBS Jobsite Safety Zone and the IBS Home Technology Solutions Pavilion in collaboration with CEDIA will return in 2022.
The 2022 show will kick off on the morning of February 8 with the opening ceremonies and that evening will host the official IBS party. Other events throughout the week include the Young Pro Party on Wednesday night at Ole Red, followed by the IBS closing concert on Thursday night.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the official NAHB IBS exhibition homes, The New American Home (TNAH) and The New American Remodel (TNAR). Homes are designed to showcase innovative building technologies, emerging design trends, and the latest building products. In-house demo products are provided by Board members from major NAHB vendors, and Professional Builder and Professional Remodeler magazines will again serve as media sponsors for 2022 Show Homes.
