Onondaga and Oneida counties host vaccination clinics this week

If you’re looking to get your COVID-19 shot in central New York City, there are plenty of opportunities available this week.

Onondaga and Oneida counties host clinics for booster injections as well as first and second doses.

In Onondaga County, there will be a clinic Tuesday at the County Civic Center on Montgomery Street from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., then from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. They will offer the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

There will be another clinic in the county Thursday at the OnCenter from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. specifically for Pfizer booster shots. You can register for both clinics online at the county’s website, OnGov.net.

In Oneida County, a recall clinic will be held Thursday at the Griffiss International Airport operations building on Hanger Road and another will be held Friday at the Jorgensen Center on the campus of Mohawk Valley Community College. You must sign up for appointments for the recall clinics on the county website, OCgov.net.

The county will also host first-dose vaccination clinics this week. The first will be on Wednesday at the County Health Department’s Utica Clinic on Elizabeth Street and the second will be at the County Clinic in Rome on West Dominick Street. You can register online for these as well, but walk-in people are welcome.
