Star Wars Day Events in Southern California to Celebrate May 4 | KIIS-FM


As the 4th of May (Being With You) is right around the corner, here are some Star Wars Day-themed events you can attend to get into the spirit of the off-world day.

Das Bunker

Das Bunker, an industrial dance club, will host an interactive Star Wars night on May 6. The event starts at 9 p.m.


The big Star Wars Nite event on May 3 is sold out, but another event has been added from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on May 9. Costumes are welcome for this event.


The Dodgers are hosting a Star Wars party on May 4. They are giving away R2D2/LA beanies to match attendees while supplies last. The Dodgers will face NL West Rivals the SF Giants on May 4.

Glen Avon Regional Library

Head to the Glen Avon Regional Library this May 4th to celebrate all things the galaxy far, far away with members of the Southern California Garrison of the 501st Legion!

Long Beach Beer Lab

Join the Long Beach Beer Lab, a small brewery and bakery, for a day of festivities to celebrate May 4th. They’ll have new beer releases that pair with Star Wars-inspired beer and baked goods.

Miracle Mile Toy Hall

Miracle Mile Toy Hall will host a May Fourth party for kids ages 4-12, which will include Jedi lessons and goodie bags. 4-5.30 p.m.

Neiman and Company — Films on location:

In celebration of Star Wars Day, May 4, My Valley Pass will feature Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens as part of their ongoing Movies On Location film series. This May 4, join My Valley Pass in Van Nuys as they screen Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the parking lot of Neiman & Company, formerly the original location of Industrial Light & Magic where all visual effects from Star Wars (1977) were produced.

Pretend City Children’s Museum

Calling all Jedi-in-training! It’s time to report to work! Join the Pretend City Children’s Museum for a spaced out day of Star Wars activities as they celebrate May the Fourth be With You! For $1 off admission, dress up in your best Star Wars outfit.

Riverside Municipal Auditorium

The Riverside Municipal Auditorium’s May 4th Festival will feature a screening of Star Wars: A New Hope. The door will open at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at 7 p.m. It will also include a Cantina alien band, Hip Hop Trooper, Star Girls, DJ Chuck None, a comedy roast hosted by TheGeekGatsby, an art exhibit, shopping, a cosplay contest and Suite.

San Bernardino County Museum

There will be a science-based hands-on party with StarLab, a portable planetarium, DJ Eturnal spinning space-themed dance music, themed scavenger hunts, a photo booth, and an appearance by the Inland Empire Southern California Garrison Squad, 501st Legion. The event lasts from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

San Bernardino County Library

The San Bernardino County Library invites residents to join Facebook and Zoom for the Star Wars digital event May 2-7. The week will be filled with fun crafts and a special story time with special Star Wars guests. All activities are free and open to all ages

Scum & Villainy Cantina

This Star Wars popup is now a permanent lounge with weekly events, themed cocktails and mocktails with a limited menu. It will welcome May 4 with a contest and other surprises. The event lasts from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Anyone under the age of 21 is welcome with a parent from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
